Last year, we took this a step further, working with the client and a trusted programming house to design and build a system with accompanying e-learning tool that fully supported the desired business process, for a third of the price of commercial systems already on the market.
The new, web based system reduced the process from 115 steps to just 14. The system was also intuitive to use - it took less than 10 minutes to train each user. As a result, the project achieved its projected return on investment in just three months - a total cost saving of £375,000 per year.
We believe that we were able to achieve these results because we fully considered the business needs from every stakeholder’s perspective. We also designed the ideal process in detail with the users, before creating the requirements specification. This approach ultimately saved our client a considerable amount of time and money, as well as ensuring that the resulting system fully met the specified requirements.
